Empties - November & December - 2019

I know I didn't post an empties for November. At the time I felt like I hadn't used up enough products to make it interesting.. so I held onto my garbage (lol) and collected it until now. Well, my bag was starting to overflow and realistically, I probably won't finish much else between now and the next 2 weeks of the month. Let's see what I've used!

I'm so happy with how much I've used up. I'm hoping that 2020 I will restrain from purchasing so much and really use up what I have. It's so overwhelming sometimes. We really feel like we need the newest things, and other things get forgotten about. I want to avoid that in 2020.

Benefit Cosmetics - Gimme Brow
This is probably my favourite brow product. I don't really use pencils on my brows, but I enjoy a brow gel. This colour matches my brows and super easy to use. I've already got a backup so yes, I would repurchase.

Younique - Glorious Face and Eye Makeup Primer
I've had this for longer then I would like to admit. And I was close to finishing it, but it started to separate, and to be honest, it wasn't amazing. I'd only use this on my nose area, so it took a long time to finish. It's more of a silicone type product. I wouldn't repurchase this.

LaRitzy Cosmetics - Waterproof Mascara
This was garbage. The formula was watery and just did nothing for my lashes. Tossed it because it was difficult to remove and I would rather use mascara that I actually enjoy and do something for my lashes.

Nars - Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly
My most favourite concealer of all time. It's creamy, blends well, and the colour matches. I've already repurchased another.

Bare Minerals - Lash Topia Mascara
I got this in a set for a 500 point perk from Sephora and the mascara was already dried up and clumpy so I couldn't even use it.

Make Up For Ever - Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder
This is another item that lasted me forever because I just don't reach for pressed powder a lot. I really enjoyed this when I did use, but I'm not sure if I would repurchase because I have others I need to use up in my collection.

Hourglass - Caution Extreme Lash Mascara
I used this a few times and it was just okay. Nothing to brag about. It dried out really fast though and the wand was super awkward and short to use. Pass.

Too Faced - Better Than Sex Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
There has been mixed reviews on this eyeliner. Mine didn't dry out very fast like others and didn't splay either. I just found it was a little more on the watery side, so it bled on my lash line a lot. I repurchased a second before I realized I wasn't a huge fan, but it wasn't terrible. I'll use it up but I probably wouldn't repurchase it after this.

*Divine Essence - Organic Demask Rose Floral Water
The scent of this rose water is more on the strong side, so I would always hear complaints if I spritzed myself with it. It works well, it's hydrating. But the scent is strong.

Dr. Brandt - Microdermabrasion Exfoliant
I believe I got this in a boxycharm awhile ago, and I just finished it now. It's a very fine exfoliant, I enjoyed it. However I wouldn't rush out to repurchase it. I didn't find it made that great of a difference on my skin when I did use it. I'd prefer to use my chemical exfoliants, or clarisonic if I'm looking for a good exfoliation.

Laneige - Cream Skin Toner and Moisturizer
This was a creamy toner. It felt nice on the skin but left a sticky film sometimes. Again, it was just okay. I prefer keeping my toner separate from "moisturizer"

Fresh - Rose Deep Hydrating Face Cream
This cream felt so luxurious, and soft. I found though that it didn't really soak into my skin and sometimes it would ball off. It's sad because I loved the texture, but it didn't seem to do much for me.

Pixi + Caroline Hirons - Double Cleanse
This is amazing. It's a solid cleansing oil, and creamy cleanser in one package, but its separated. The cleansing oil worked great at removing makeup, even mascara, and the creamy cleanser was just a nice addition. Neither made my skin feel stripped or dry. I really love this but I do wish that they could be purchased separately. I found when I travelled with it, the creamy cleanser got into the oil cleanser a little, and I ran out of the oil cleanser before the creamy cleanser. But I love both products individually!

Pixi - Glow Tonic Toner
I'm sure all beauty bloggers know what this toner is and what it does. I love how gentle it is on my skin and I've already repurchased the larger size.

*Burts Bees - Facial Cleansing Towelettes
I got these so long ago that I was shocked to see that they hadn't dried out yet. They were a little more on the dry side of a towelette, but I kind of prefer that. The over saturated ones I find leaves behind film or gets into the eyes and burns. These were decent, but not something I reach for frequently.

Bath and Body Works - Shower Gel in Japanese Cherry Blossom
Not my favourite scent. I had actually purchased it for my Gran last winter but she's not a fan of their body washes so I kept it. I love the formulation and you will see these frequently in my empties. I have other scents to use up, so I don't need to repurchase any time soon.

Sol De Janeiro - Coco Cabana Cream
Ugh. This smelled like popcorn. The formula was nice but I couldn't get past the scent.

Yves Rocher - Concentrated Shower Gel in Mango Coriander
This just smelled like mango, so it was nice. This lathered very well and this little bottle lasted quite awhile. I'd consider repurchasing because it's such great quality, but I definitely don't need body wash for awhile. I think this came in a Topbox.

The Body Shop - Shower Gel in Pink Grapefruit
I love the smell and flavour of Pink Grapefruit but I feel like this missed the mark for me. It kind of reminded me of cat pee/spray.. so every time I would use it, or someone else in the house would, it would stink up the washroom for a few hours and it wasn't very pleasant. I will say this pump bottle had an incredible amount of body wash, but it was difficult to pump out onto a loofah. For that reason I transferred it to another body wash bottle just to get it over with. I liked the shower gel, but I wouldn't repurchase it again in Pink Grapefruit.

Revlon Professional - Equave Detangling Conditioner
I received this awhile back in a "grown up" version and I loved how it made my hair feel. It has to be shaken up first before you can use it. The kids scent is Green Apple and I really enjoyed it. I have repurchased another Green Apple detangler!

Provoke - Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo
This stuff is powerful! This made my hair look fresh and icy and I loved it! I would consider repurchasing but I have some other purple shampoos to finish first.

Nexxus - Therappe Nourishing Shampoo
Nexxus - Humectress Conditioner
The shampoo and conditioner were hydrating on the hair, without making it feel heavy or weighted down, or even oily. I enjoyed them both and would consider repurchasing later in the future, when I make a dent in the rest of the shampoo/conditioner I have collected over the years.

Redken - PH Bonder Post Service Perfector
I only finished maybe half of this "perfector" and I just can't bring myself to finish it. When I had originally had the service done (this is Redken's version of olaplex I believe) it just made my hair so tangly. The hair dresser recommended that I mix it into conditioner in the shower and it shouldn't make my hair so tangled. Well, it did. Every time I used it. So I stopped and I haven't reached for it in months. I decided to just toss it because it doesn't nothing good for my hair and its just taking up space in the shower.

Equate - Quilted Pads
These technically should be with skincare or makeup, but I forgot to include it in either one of those. You already know I use these a lot and you will keep seeing them in future empties posts. They are affordable and they are great for applying skincare or removing nail polish.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soaps in Spells Divine and Howl-o-ween
I also really love these foaming hand soaps, as you see them in every empties post. These two were released or Halloween and both were fruity. I enjoyed them both.

Scentsy - Wax Bars in the following scents:
(Apparently I really enjoyed fruitier scents the past 2 months..)

Pistachio Ice Cream - Pistachio Cream, Coconut Garnish, Vanilla Meringue

Rockin' Ruby Razz - Juicy Orange, Fresh Strawberry, Sweet Candy Glaze

Custard Apple - Pineapple, Sugar Cane, Mango

Gleeful Grape - Juicy Grape, Raspberry Leaf, Sugared Berries

Pinapple Pucker - Fresh Pineapple

Jet, Set, Go! - Brazilian Orange, Jungle Papaya, Island Vanilla

Honestly, these were all enjoyable scents. I think if I could only repurchase 3, I would go with rockin' ruby razz, gleeful grape, and pineapple pucker!

Bath and Body Works - 3 wick Candles in Spiced Toddy, Leaves, and 'Tis the Season

These are all 3 season appropriate candles. Warm. Cinnamon. Just cozy. I loved them all and would repurchase all 3 again. Actually I believe I still have a Leaves and a 'Tis the Season to use up.

As you can see, I used up 36 products, which is on the higher end for me lately. I'm so happy I was able to get through so much, and I'm hoping 2020 will be even better!
