Empties - October 2019

Can 2019 slow down just a little?! It's already the end of October/beginning of November and it feels like Winter just ended. It's getting darker earlier and its just sad! The Fall weather is welcomed, all the beautiful colors! But I'm missing the sunshine! Anyway, let's see what I used up in the month of October!

Skin care first!

Marcelle - Gentle Makeup Remover
This is one of those biphase makeup removers where its separated like oil and water. It did a good job at removing stubborn mascara, however I found towards the end it wasn't working as well as when it was fresh.  I'd consider repurchasing if it was a good price.

Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
I absolutely love this cleaning balm. This isn't the first time you have seen this and it definitely won't be the last. I have one in my backup now (trying something new at the moment) and will possibly purchase another during the vib sale. It works well and so convenient.

Younique - Cleansing Stick
This is supposed to be like a balm cleanser but stick form. It was terrible. It was like it wouldn't melt on the skin and almost nothing would come off of the stick. It was awkward and just wasn't good. I'm tossing this early because it also seems a little gross. I would not repurchase.

Modere - Cleanse Cleanser for Dry Skin
This was just a basic cream cleanser. It worked okay. My skin never felt dried out after using it. I would never use it on its own though because I feel like it wouldn't remove makeup. I think it was just okay and wouldn't repurchase.

Sephora Collection - Nourishing Moisturizer
I was actually quite shocked at how much I really liked this moisturizer. It was creamy and felt nourishing. It made my monthly favourites in July. I would consider repurchasing in the future... just making my way through other moisturizer in the meantime.

Drunk Elephant - TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
I really liked this glycolic acid in the beginning, however as time passed I found that it would make me breakout if I used it more than once a week. Eventually it started to burn and I knew that I probably shouldn't risk it anymore. I managed to finish the bottle but I can't see myself purchasing this again. There are other more gentle chemical exfoliants out there.

Shiseido - Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate
I received a big bottle of this stuff a few years ago from PR and I really liked it, so I purchased it again. It makes my skin feel hydrated and is a nice extra step. I use this after my booster to lock in some moisture.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soap in Harvest Gathering
This was a nice fall scent. I love these hand soaps, and just like the Clinique cleansing balm, you will see these all the time. Just in different scents!

Joe Fresh - Nail File
This nail file was decent. It was only $1 I believe from Shoppers Drug Mart. I wasn't expecting anything amazing but its pretty decent!

Scentsy - Wax Bars
All You Need Is Love
Passion Fruit Colada
Blood Orange Spice
Pink Currant & Birchwood

These were all great scents. I'm trying to work through my ridiculous stash of bars. I can't see myself repurchasing any of these though. I tend to only repurchase scents I really love. Would anyone like to see a post of my top 5-10 scentsy bars?

Bath and Body Works - 3 Wick Candles
Pink Bubblegum - This did smell like bubblegum on cold sniff, however the throw was very very light (almost undetectable) and the candle flooded a lot. I wouldn't repurchase this one.
Leaves - if you are looking for the perfect Fall scent, look no further..theres something cool and crisp about this scent. Theres a slight cinnamon, apple scent. Its just lovely. Its definitely one of my top scents from Bath and Body Works. I love it so much, I unknowngly had 3 in my stash. Oops!

15 products for October! I hope I can close out the year with a lot more! Time to start using up those products!
