Make Up For Ever - Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y205 [Glamsense Campaign]

If you're a beauty enthusiast, then you've definitely heard of Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation. It's been a cult favourite for years, and I finally had the opportunity to give it a try!

If you have been following my blog for some time, then you would have seen me mention that I have dry skin. Finding a foundation that does not accentuate dry patches is a hard task. It's even harder trying to find a shade that matches my skin because I'm so pale. I'm generally the lightest shade in every foundation, and even sometimes those are too dark.

Glam Sense had a campaign for this foundation, so I applied, and I was happy I was picked. For awhile I have considered purchasing this , but never ever took the plunge. I picked the shade Y205 - Alabaster, which is the lightest shade that Make Up For Ever offers in this foundation.

As you can see, I'm very pale, but so is this foundation. Which makes me super happy because it's so hard to find my shade!

The formula itself is a little more on the watery side, it claims that it is medium coverage that can be built up, but still look natural and like skin.

I found with this foundation, I absolutely had to mix it with a facial oil. Even if it was just one drop. And wear a moisturizing primer. I'm not sure if its because of the weather changing, my skin itself, or just the foundation itself, but does it ever cling to dry patches. Which makes me sad because this is my perfect shade!

I love that this foundation feels like you're wearing nothing on your face. I find that it is a little more sheer than it is medium coverage, and I don't really like to build it up because I find it looks patchy on me. I've applied using a real techniques miracle sponge. I prefer the coverage of this ultra HD foundation compared to their water blend foundation that I had a chance to also try out, review here.

I hope in the summer when the weather changes again, that my skin won't look so dry or that this foundation won't cling to dry patches. Does anybody have any tips of what else I could use to make it look less dry? I've been trying adding argan oil, and using Kat Von D Lock It Hydrating primer.

*I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review - all opinions are my own*
