Nude Skincare - Advanced Renewal Moisturizer

If you've been with me for awhile, then you know I'm always on the hunt for a good moisturizer. I tend to like creams more than lotions, and I have dry skin. I'd also like something that works well under makeup, and I don't think that's asking too much! I used to have a holy grail moisturizer made by Shiseido, but it's been discontinued for a long time. My hunt still continues. I found this Nude Skincare - Advanced Renewal Moisturizer in the sale section of Sephora's website, and I decided I wanted to give it a go!

I've heard great things about Nude Skincare, it's free of fragrance, silicones and other "bad ingredients" and is supposed to be good for sensitive skin types. The regular price is $110 (Canadian) but I found it in Sephora's sale section for $77 (Canadian). This is more on the higher end, but I've spent more on skincare. For me, its finding something that actually will work, that I enjoy.

For silky-smooth, newly supple, and deeply moisturized skin, all it takes is one replenishing step. This plush, velvety cream melts into skin, allowing it to drink in nourishing omegas 6 and 9, probiotics, and protective antioxidants while creating a soft, luminous finish. The age-defying formula helps to improve firmness, elasticity, and the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a revived complexion that radiates health and youthful vibrancy.

As you can see it comes in a glass jar. This doesn't bother me with skincare, but I know some people will avoid it if it's not in a tube.

This is definitely creamy, and doesn't leave a white cast on the skin like some other cream moisturizers do. But that's about as far as my praise will go. I like that it is not fragranced either. But this formula is just not good.

This cream looks as if it soaks into the skin, but it feels like it just sits on top. It never really fully absorbs, and if you even try and use a serum before, or an oil on top, this stuff just balls up. It actually even balled up on my skin without using a serum. It didn't matter how little I used, how long I let it absorb, it always pilled. Forget even wearing it under foundation.

Unfortunately, this moisturizer just isn't the next holy grail item for me. My search for my perfect moisturizer continues.
