Boxycharm - November 2017

Boxycharm is a subscription box service, that sends full size and deluxe sample size items to you each month. I've noticed majority of the time, you will get full sized products, and you receive 5 each month. It is $21 USD a month, plus shipping. There are discounts if you sign up for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. I originally signed up for 3 months, and it renewed for another 3 months automatically. Everyone generally gets the same box each month, with a few variations such as lipstick colours. Or a lipstick vs lip gloss. That being said, let's take a look at what I received for my November Boxycharm!

The theme of the month is Sweater Weather.. which is exactly the season we're in now!

I feel like we got a good selection of products this month. Let's take a closer look!

Um, first off. HOW CUTE IS THE WINKYLUX PALETTE? I love cats, and I absolutely love that this is called the kitten palette, and that there are cats all over the front! But let's look inside!

Luxie Beauty - Quad Eye Travel Set (Retail Price - $32)
Take your eye game on the go with this quad travel set created with hand-crafted synthetic brushes.

I don't have any travel brushes, but these will be nice to have on hand. Luxie brushes are great.

Winkylux - Kitten Palette (Retail Price - $25)
These ultra-soft shadows glide on like a dream. The universally flattering collection of shades makes this palette as lovable as a kitten. It features highly-pigmented shadows in four finishes: holographic, matte, satin, and glitter.

I'm a little torn on this palette. I haven't worn it on my eyes yet, but the swatches aren't the greatest. I'll include a photo at the end, and you'll be able to see for yourself. But the mattes are very patchy. The holographic and glitter shades are just beautiful though!

CoverFX - Illuminating Setting Spray (Retail Price - $31)
A quick-drying setting spray that sets makeup for all day wear and imparts instant, all-over illumination. It's alcohol free, so it's not drying to the skin. Perfect for all skin tones and types.

I was really looking forward to this, but it's SO sparkle-y. I'm hoping it doesn't look like it has as much sparkle once its on the face, but I will have to try it out and give a better review of it.

Laqa & Co. - Cloud Lips (Retail Price - $17)
An airy matte lipstick that provides full coverage, but feels light as a cloud. This highly pigmented lipstick has a matte finish for long-lasting fluffy, pouty lips that stay put.

This looks dark brown when you look at it, but it wears more like a burgundy shade. I also have a swatch below for this. It's dark on the lips, but it's also super patchy. It almost looks as if you were drinking red wine and it stained your mouth. That's the most perfect example I can give. I'm not a big fan of this.

KNC Beauty - Collagen Lip Masks (Retail Price - $15)
Innovative jelly mask for your lips that hydrate, moisturize, and plump your pout with natural ingredients.

I've tried one of these in the past and they're interesting. This was huge on my lips and kept sliding off. I didn't notice a difference in hydration or plumping.

As you can see, the matte shadow shades are very very patchy. The holographic and glitter shadows are so beautiful and have great pay off. The lipstick swatch at the bottom is a pretty shade for Fall and Winter, but you can see that it's also patchy.

Overall, the retail value of this box is $120, which is a great value. However, I'm kind of disappointed in a few of the items. The matte shadows are very patchy, the illuminating spray is just full of sparkles, the lip product is also patchy, and the lip masks are huge. I'm sure I will get use of them all, but this was a little bit of a miss for me. While I really enjoy getting subscription boxes in the mail, I think I may take a break in the New Year. My collection is starting to get way out of hand. Of course - this will all depend on sneak peeks that we are given!

What do you think of this month's Boxycharm?
