Empties - September 2017

Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of September. It has been so hot this month, you wouldn't believe that summer was over! I can't believe we're getting so close to the end of 2017 already! But it's pumpkin spice season, and I'm loving it! Anyway, it's time to collect the beauty trash, and see what I've used up for the month of September.

I didn't use up as many products this month as I would have liked! But let's see what I used up!

Kat Von D - Ink Liner in Trooper
I like the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner so much more than this Ink Liner. The Ink Liner has a felt tip, where the Tattoo Liner is a brush tip. I feel like felt tip liners are so much more rough and dry out so much quicker. I wouldn't repurchase this specific liner, but I will repurchase the tattoo liner.

Stella McCartney - Stella
This was a nice perfume, slightly floral but nothing over powering. I wouldn't repurchase just because I prefer other perfumes.

Almay - One Coat Multi-Benefit Mascara
I got this as a sample with a contact lens purchase and I was surprised at how much I liked it. It provided volume, and it didn't make my lashes clumpy either. I would consider repurchasing this, but I have a lifetime supply of other mascaras to get through first.

Elf - Complexion Perfection (Powder)
I've had this complexion perfection powder for way too long. It was one of those multi-coloured powders for colour correction. There was pink, yellow, blue, and purple. I did really like it, and I will consider purchasing it again in the future, but I don't need any more powders at the moment. It was so close to being completely finished, but then I dropped it and the powder shattered, so I decided it was time to finally let it go.

Silkience - Silky Smooth Conditioner
This conditioner was awful. It was pretty much watered down conditioner, and had the strongest scent. It didn't really make my hair feel softer either. I only bought it because I needed a cheap conditioner that was white that I could mix the semi-permanent hair dye I use to tone my hair. It was too watery, and I hated how strong the scent was, it would leave my hair smelling like that until the next time I washed it. I would not repurchase this. Not even at $1.25 again.

Parlour - Moisturizing Sea Salt Spray
This has a strong plastic scent, but it did a great job at giving my hair that beach wave look. I wouldn't repurchase it though just because I've found other products I enjoy more.

Herbal Essences - Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel
This is old. Like years old. I'd use it, put it away, forget about it. Take it out, use it, enjoy it, put it away, and forget about it again. It was a watered down type of spray gel, so it didn't leave the hair feeling stiff. I found it again and it smelled off, so I tossed what little was left. I'd reconsider purchasing it in the future, if it's still being made.

Equate - Multi Purpose Lens Solution
This is our usual contact lens solution. I prefer the solo care bottles, but they are also like double the price. So when we are on a budget, we will grab this from Walmart. You can get a pack of two big bottles, and two contact lense cases for less than $10. We will repurchase.

Sensodyne - Repair and Protect Toothpaste
This toothpaste has novamin in it, which is supposed to help repair and protect the teeth (hence the name..right?) I enjoy it, but I'm not entirely sure if it really does what it claims. I've repurchased though.

Roger and Gallet - Uplifting Shower Gel
I wasn't a fan of this scent. It's just a typical shower gel. It's pricey though, so I wouldn't repurchase. I'd rather grab something cheap at the drug store and really enjoy the smell.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soap in Frosted Coconut Snowball
I absolutely love these foaming hand soaps from Bath and Body Works, and always pick some up during the big sale they have. You can usually get 10 for $30. Is that expensive for hand soap? I don't know, but I love them. This Frosted Coconut Snowball scent was great as well, not too heavily scented. I've already repurchased tons in other scents, so be prepared to see more in the future.

Peter Thomas Roth - Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser
I got this as a sample add on from a Sephora order and I was disappointed. It left my face feeling drying, and I wouldn't repurchase it.

Fresh - Soy Face Cleanser
You guys already know I love this, it's been in my empties in the past. I've repurchased the full size, but haven't touched it yet just because I've been trying to get through some smaller sized items.

Key West Aloe - Gentle Facial Cleanser
I bought this when Birchbox was ending operations in Canada, so it's been in my drawers for awhile. It's taken me a few months to use it up as well. It's a gel formula, and it does foam a little, but it does not make my skin feel dry at all. It does well as a second cleanser. I'm not sure where I would purchase this from, but if I got it again, I wouldn't be disappointed.

Drunk Elephant - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
This was a part of the mini sets that I purchased and reviewed a few months ago. It took me all this time to finish it up! You do get a good value with it. I will say though, it wasn't anything special, and I won't be repurchasing this oil.

LA Fresh - Travel Lite - Makeup Remover Wipe
This was at a hotel we stayed at in July and I went away for a weekend and brought it with me. It was just one single wipe, and it was just meh. It didn't do the greatest job removing makeup, and it kind of stung. I prefer other brands so I wouldn't go searching this out.

As you can see, I didn't use that many products up this month. I only got through 16 items! I'll have to step it up for October!
