Monthly Favourites - April 2017

I've decided that I wanted to add a new type of post to my blog. Monthly favourites! I believe when I first started to blog, I did begin to write them. But as time went on, I stopped for whatever reason. So, we're going to start writing them again! These were my favourites for the month of April!

Neal's Yard Remedies - Wild Rose Beauty Balm
I did a review on this here. I have been loving this beauty balm as the last step in my nightly skincare routine. It adds an extra layer of hydration, while locking in everything else I have applied before. I usually will use a toner, a serum, an emulsion, a night cream mixed with facial oil, and then this balm. It's really helped get rid of some dry patches I've had, and makes everything else sink into my skin overnight.

Kat Von D - Tattoo Liner in Trooper
Through the years I've discovered I really prefer a brush tip liner over a felt tip. I got this back in November when the Sephora Favourites - Trending: Beauty's Most Coveted set came out. I used up some other liners before coming to this one, and I hate that I even wasted my time on those others. Theres some great precision and pigmentation for this liner!

Bite Beauty - Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Fig
This is the perfect nude rose shade of lipstick, and can be worn with anything. It doesn't pull brown, it just looks perfect. I've been wearing it a lot! I actually had another sample size, and it must have warmed up, because when I opened it, it fell out! I ended up saving it and putting it in a jar, and then got my hands on another sample size. I love this colour, and the formula is so creamy and comfortable.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish in Touch Up
I had never tried Essie's gel polishes before, so I decided to give this a try. It's such a pretty mauve colour. I'm loving it, and have pretty much been wearing it since I got it. Except for those spring inspired nails I did - although they didn't last nearly as long as this gel polish. I removed the spring nails and went right back to this!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Palette
When this palette was first released, I didn't really want it. I don't typically reach for pinks in my eyeshadows. Of course this sold out, and I kept seeing such rave reviews. I felt like I missed out on a jewel. So I waited, and waited, and it finally came back in stock and was announced it would be a permanent product. I can't stop playing with it! Anytime I have applied makeup this month - I've only reached for this palette. Such beautiful colours, and they blend so well! There is some fall out in the packaging, but honestly it's not even a big deal. I'm so glad I grabbed this!
