Boxycharm - March 2017

I had originally signed up for Boxycharm as a 3 month subscription to see if I would like it. That ended in February. Since I've enjoyed the boxes I've received so far, I decided to let my subscription continue for another three months. Boxycharm is awesome because you receive full size products (or deluxe size in this month) but the total of all combined, far exceed the price of the box itself. The theme of the March box is Creepy Cute, so let's see what I got!

Every month we receive 5 products! You're going to see a trend though with what I think throughout the whole post.

I just noticed everything is in black/white packaging! Not sure if that was intentional or not, but cool!

Naked Cosmetics - Urban Rustic Palette (Retail Price: $39.99)
These colours offer a dramatic look when applied damp or with an eye base. The colours have hints of green, bronze, purple, and brown.

This is pretty, but nothing I would ever wear. I haven't swatched it because I decided I would pass it on. I'm not sure if its actually worth almost $40 though.

Crown Brush - SS023 Deluxe Fan Brush (Retail Price: $18.99)
This Fan Brush features a large, fanned brush head, perfect for the soft application of powder products. This brush is also great for lightly dusting shimmer products onto skin.

I've also decided to pass this brush on. We just received a fan brush last month in our Boxycharm, and while this one is much thicker/larger - I haven't even used the previous one. Someone in a swap group that I'm in wanted it, so I'm going to send it to her.

Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer (Retail Price: $16.00)
This primer is the first product that was ever created at Smashbox photo studios in LA. It instantly blurs fine lines and pores, leaving skin with a velvety-smooth, even finish. This classic Smashbox primer is the best way to start your makeup everyday.

I'm not a fan of this primer, so it's also being passed on.

RealHer - Matte Liquid Lipstick in I Am A Rockstar (Retail Price: $15.00)
Lightweight formula glides onto lips leaving super intense colour with a bold, ultra-matte finish. Long wearing, and completely kiss proof, this bomb formulation helps to combat dryness and nourish your lips during wear.

Real Her - Lipliner in I Am Loved (Retail Price: $12.50)
A creamy lip liner that glides across lips to define your pout.

Both of these are beautiful colours, and I love that all profits from these sold are donated to the AAUW (a non-profit organization that advances equity for women and girls through scholarship programs, leadership, advocacy, education and research) but these colours are too dark for my super pale skintone, and I'm not brave enough to wear them. So again, these will be passed onto someone else.

Overall, there was a great retail value of this box, $102.48. However, I'm not going to get use out of any of these products, so it was kind of a waste for me. The lipstick and eyeshadows are very pretty, but they aren't something I will wear. I don't like that they sent another fan brush considering we just received one last month. I also don't understand the "creepy cute" theme? Hopefully April will be better for me!
