November 2016 - Empties!

It's already the end of November. How did this happen!? I think I say this every month, but time flies! We're pretty much at the end of 2016. It was just the beginning of 2016! Ah! Anyway, we're at that time in the month where we look at each others trash! Ha! Here are my empties for November!

My empties bag was getting quite full, and I was so proud of myself for using so many items up, but as I pulled everything out, I knew exactly why it was so full. I also feel as if daytime lighting is not enough for my empties posts. The images are always so dark. I think I need to ask for some proper lighting for Christmas. Any recommendations? Something that isn't too expensive, and basic.

Layers by Scentsy - Shower Gel in Lucky in Love and Business Casual
I picked up way too many of these bottles when I found out they were being discontinued. So you'll keep seeing these frequently in my empties. Anyway, I used up the Lucky in Love bottle, and I love the scent of it. It's comparable to Victoria's Secret Love Spell. My boyfriend used up the Business Casual scent because its a man scent. I like how these lather and a little goes a long way.

Body by Passion Parties - Soft and Silky Shaving Creme in Mangosteen
I ordered this because of an order swap I had set up. This wasn't anything spectacular. It had the consistency of hair conditioner, which I thought was weird when I first was using this. It smelled nice and fruity, a light hint of mango. I wouldn't repurchase though.

Layers by Scentsy - Hand Soap in Lucky in Love
Can you tell this is one of my favourite scents by them? lol. This is the last of my Scentsy hand soap. I did purchase a couple before they discontinued this style of hand soap. I like the scent, it lathered well.

Bath and Body Works - Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Orchard Frost
I wasn't a huge fan of this scent, but it wasn't terrible. I actually finished this bottle awhile ago, but I ended up pouring some of the Scentsy hand soap with some water into this bottle, and made my own foaming hand soap that way. I've already repurchased more of this type of hand soap, but in different scents.

NYX - HD Concealer in Porcelain
When I first got this concealer, I really liked it. But as time went on, I realized it was not a good colour match. It looked so yellow no matter how much I tried to blend it out. I like the consistency but the colour is just not good for me. It seemed I had finished it because I couldn't get any to come out on the wand, but then I removed the stopper and there was still a bit of product. But after a day it got too messy, and I figured why am I doing this for a product that I don't really like. So, I'm tossing it.

Revlon - Equave Hydro Nutritive Detangling Conditioner
I received this in my October Topbox. It didn't have much of a scent, but it did help detangle my hair. It didn't weight my hair down or make it greasy either. I liked this! I probably wouldn't repurchase it though.

Tarte - Rainforest of the Sea - Deep Dive Cleansing Gel
This stuff smells so good. Very citrusy. It did an okay job at cleansing my face, and smelled great. I didn't notice any difference in my skin, but then again the sample is so small. I wouldn't repurchase this just because I have so many other cleansers to get through. Also, it burned my eyes. So be careful if you use it in that area!

Vichy - Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream
I liked this face cream. I got it a few months ago in a ChickAdvisor campaign, and used it sometimes during the day, but mostly at night. I found that it wasn't greasy, and made my skin feel hydrated. I didn't like it under makeup though because it tended to make it look blotchy. But it was a nice extra step in my night time routine.

Younique - Liquid Lip Stain in Skittish and Sappy
I wasn't a big fan of these. They never stained my lips evenly, they were very watery when I first received them. I must have put them away and forgot about them. When I found them now, the liquid had gotten much thicker, so I decided to toss them. I've had them for some time and I'm just not using them. I wouldn't repurchase. I've decided that I'm not really a fan of lip stains.

E.L.F - Hydrating Face Primer
I picked this up way too long ago, used it a couple times, decided I didn't like it. Put it away. Forgot about it. Found it, decided I still hated it, and put it away. Pulled it out once more, pumped it, smelled yucky, so I'm tossing it. I hate this primer. It is so siliconey feeling, and it just sits on your skin. I didn't find it ever helped my makeup, it was just uncomfortable. Don't waste your money.

Yves Saint Laurent - Black Opium Perfume Sample
I just picked up the full size version of this perfume in my Sephora VIB haul. I really like the sweet scent of it.

MAC - Zoom Lash Mascara
I actually got this a few months ago from my Mom when she came to visit. I used it a couple of times and then tossed it into my makeup case. I would reach for it here and there, but it never stood out to me. Yeah it made my lashes look black, but it never gave me volume, and that's the number one thing I look for in a mascara. So, it's past the three month mark, and I'm just not enjoying it. I've decide to toss whatever is left. I have other mascaras I still need to use up, and I won't miss this one.

Covergirl - Katy Kat Eye Mascara
This was okay mascara, I won't hate too much. Not my favourite, but I didn't dislike it. If I were to purchase only Covergirl mascaras, I would prefer the lash blast mascaras more.
Scentsy Wax Bars
So this is what was causing the bag to look and feel so full. I thought I was going through a good decent amount of products. I guess it's good that I used a bunch of wax up though. Anyway, the scents I used up this month are Thunderstorm (smells like lilac flowers to me) Grape Granita (grape candies!) Paradise Punch (reminds me of fruit juice) Give Me Passionflower (a nice strong, tropical scent) Winter Cypress (wasn't a big fan of this one, kind of manly but wintery) Cider Mill (omg - the most perfect Fall scent ever. To me it has hints of apple, cinnamon, pumpkin. Honestly, the best Fall scent ever) Happy Birthday (smells like vanilla cake, with frosting and sprinkles) Apple Smores (really smell the "fire" in this one. Apples and fire.) My Home (reminded me of a cottony scent, with hints of cinnamon I guess - wasn't a huge fan) and Sugar Cookie (just a vanilla scent) - if anyone is ever interested in purchasing Scentsy bars, I'd appreciate it if you'd use my link! - there are always combine and save prices on bars, and bundles.

Next up is foil packets and masks. I'm not going to go into too much detail, just because it's hard to judge something based on only one or two uses.

Skin Food - Peach Sake Serum
Loved the smell of this, however it dried very matte on my skin, and I didn't like that too much.

TonyMoly - Panda's Dream - White Hand Cream
Made my hands feel nice, only got 1 use out of it though. It was on the thicker side and did take some time to fully absorb. And it had a floral scent to it.

Urban Decay - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I got this in my Naked 2 palette. I did like it, but I don't see myself purchasing it ever.

TonyMoly - Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack
Wow! I loved this! It was on the thicker side but I really enjoyed it. It also wasn't sticky like some sleep packs can be. I'm glad I have a couple more sample packs lying around.

Sephora - Express Eye Makeup Remover Wipe
These were okay. I prefer using an oil based cleanser though to remove my makeup. I wouldn't repurchase these.

Dr. Brandt - Laser FX Perfect Serum
I honestly don't remember if I liked this or not. Yikes, considering it isn't a cheap product to purchase.

TheFaceShop - The Therapy - Anti Aging Formula - Eye Cream
I liked the texture of this eye cream.. and this sample actually lasted probably about 10 applications, just because you use so little of it. It felt nice, but again, it's hard to determine how well skincare works with such little time using it. It wore well under makeup. I actually got a few more samples of this when I got all that FaceShop stuff, so I do have more, and I will try them again.

Lee Jiham Drs Care - Vita Propolis Cream
I had two of these foil samples sitting in my sample box for awhile. I finally decided to try one, and wow. I loved this one too. Which really took me by surprise because I knew nothing about it before putting it on. It was creamy, it was thick, it wasn't greasy. It was hydrating, and great under my makeup too. From what I got to use, this is the type of face cream I'm looking for. I still have one more sample to try, and a ton more skin care to get through, but I would seriously purchase this once I'm ready for more face cream. I really liked this.

Cotton Pads - I guess these could have gone with my normal empties like they usually do, but I either forgot to include it in the big picture, or I decided to put it with the foils. Anyway, these are just from the dollar store. When I first stocked up on them, I purchased like 3 packs. Well, as time goes on, I really hate them. I didn't mind them at first, but the more I use them, the more I realize the quality sucks. They fall apart easily, and fluff everywhere. I can't wait to finish off the last pack I have. That's what happens I guess when I try and be cheap.

Again, I didn't use up as many face masks as I tell myself I should. I really need to get into the habit of doing at least two a week.

Leaders Cosmetics - Aloe Soothing Renewal Mask
This actually fit really great compared to some other masks I have used. It made my skin feel hydrated.

Hydraluron - Moisture Boosting Mask
I got these awhile ago from Shoppers Drug Mart for a pretty cheap price, and this was my last one. It makes my skin feel nice and hydrated as well.

TheFaceShop - Real Nature Cucumber Face Mask
Soothed my skin, I love this brand of face masks and I've already repurchased a ton.

Secret Garden - Olive Oil Ampoule Mask
I got this in a trade, and I really liked it. You put the ampoule on first, and without letting it sink into your skin, you apply the mask which is also covered in essence. It made my skin feel so smooth, and nourished. I'd consider repurchasing these.
