Ipsy - October 2016

I just realized it's November and I still haven't got my October Ipsy bag up!

Yes, I resubbed. I saw how cute the October bag was going to be, so I decided I would give it a chance.

As you can see in the above photo. They played with the Halloween theme for October. The bag is a light pink, with Halloween inspired print. I thought it was cute!

I noticed Ipsy is now making Snapchat videos for their sneak peeks. When I used to receive Ipsy I would post the spoilers, but I don't think I will be doing that from now on. It's difficult to get a good photo, and honestly, spoilers are posted so quickly on Facebook. Does anyone miss how Ipsy used to disguise the product and we would all have to guess what it was?! That was more fun! Anyway, let's take a look at what I received.

The actual theme itself was called Black Magic. I was actually surprised to get a half decent bag this time! At least based on my preferences.

Patchology - FlashPatch Eye Revive Gels
Puffiness? Fatigue? Dryness? You’re outta’ here. Meet the fastest fix for tired eyes—a quick boost of caffeine and hydrolyzed collagen.
  • Hit refresh. Patch technology accelerates the delivery of ingredients, so we see results quicker.
  • In an instant. Immediately cools and smoothes.
  • 100% of our team here at ipsy said it made their eyes appear awake and revived.
I haven't tried these yet, but from the lack of sleep I've recently had, I'm considering pulling them out and seeing how they work on my puffy eyes. Always welcome in my stash.

Tatcha - Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil
Come into bloom. Nutrient-rich camellia oil from the Goto Islands moisturizes as it removes makeup and cleanses. That’s what we call flower power.

  • Ready for liftoff. Leaves no residue behind whatsoever.
  • Rice bran oil hydrates and makes skin feel silky.
  • Just say no to irritation. Mild enough for all skin types.
I love cleansing oils, so they are always welcome in any subscription service, or sample box I receive. I haven't tried this one yet, but I have heard amazing things about Tatcha. Once my Balea bottle is finished, I will use this one. So excited!

Lottie London - Perfectly Precise Eyeshadow Brush
Double without the trouble. Part shadow brush. Part smudger. All adorable. And the color? You know how much we love pink here.

  • Pack it on. Dense fibers let you apply powder and cream shadows.
  • Just enough. Picks up the perfect amount of product every time.
  • Pretty made portable. Sized for any makeup bag.
This is just a standard eyeshadow brush. It didn't really stand out for me, but it isn't the worst I've ever used. Plus, it's pink! Added to my makeup case immediately.

Ciate London - Fierce Flicks Eyeliner
The little black dress of liners. One sweep of this intensely dark shade is all you need to create a chic look. Easy to apply and goes with everything.

  • Exacting standards. Precision felt tip makes drawing thin or winging out simple.
  • It’s not going anywhere, thanks to the long-lasting and budge-proof formula.
  • Keep it smooth. Glides on, even over eye shadows.
Black liquid liners are also always welcome in my hoard. I haven't tried this one out yet because I want to finish my Jesse's Girl liner before it dries out, but I will be pulling this one out right afterwards. I hope it's pigmented!

Cosmoholic - Liquid Lipstick in Mysterious Mocha
It’s a lipgloss. It’s a lipstick. So smooth and so shiny, it leaves lips with color that lasts. And comes in the perfect reddish-brown shade for fall.

  • Glossy and goes great with all skin tones
  • Lip therapy. Intensely hydrating ingredients moisturize.
  • Smells like chocolate. #Mmm.
Theres nothing reddish-brown about this liquid lipstick/lipgloss. I didn't open it because I just knew the colour wouldn't work for me. I had a trade lined up for this, so hopefully it still goes through! This is the only item in the bag that I was slightly disappointed about, but it's only because the colour wouldn't work for me. I would have loved to try this in a different shade.

Overall, I was quite happy with my October Ipsy GlamBag. I decided I would stay subscribed to November, and with the early access already up, I'm excited for that one too! If you're interested in trying out Ipsy, you can use my referral link if you'd like!
