June 2016 - Empties!

So this may be going up a little later than usual but things have been so hectic! I'm not sure if you guys are into soccer but the past few weeks has been the Euro Cup. Last night was the final game, and it was down to Portugal and France. The area that I work in, is a Portuguese area, so when Portugal won, the streets were CRAZY! There was a huge party, lots of chanting, and honking. It was just insane. I finally got a quiet moment to myself this morning, and I decided I would finally get this June empties post up.

I didn't get through as many empties as I thought I did, and I thought about pushing it to include July empties as well, but I decided not to. I haven't got may posts up lately, and I feel so neglectful of the blog. Sorry guys! Once this summer is over and the Fall hits, I can finally get back into a blog routine. Also, I need to be on a no-buy because I've just been buying way too many products. July 1st was the start of that, and I've done well so far. (It's only been 11 days! lol)

So let's get into the empties! I did have 11 sheet masks that I finished up, but I didn't include them in the pictures because I feel as if they are starting to get very repetitive. If I have any stand out masks, I will definitely include them in my monthly empties, just this month I didn't have anything spectacular stand out in terms on sheet masks, or wash off masks.

Lots of skincare items, as always. I can't really get through makeup fast, because I feel like I'm always switching it up. I have picked a few items that I use every day, but when it comes to foundation/concealer/eyeshadow/lipstick I'm ALWAYS wearing a different item every day, even when I try and narrow those down as well!

Layers by Scentsy - Shower Gel in Lucky in Love
If you have ever smelled Victoria's Secret Love Spell, then you will know what this smells like. It's fruity, but not overpoweringly so. I love this scent so I picked up a few of the shower gel's while they were still available. This is just an average shower gel, which lathers quite a bit. I would probably repurchase if they were still available, but they no longer are.

Dove Advanced Series - Quench Absolute - Ultra Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner
Ugh. As I've used many samples, received free bottles of shampoo/conditioner, Dove has really made its way to the end of my list. Along with Pantene. There is something about these two brands that make my hair feel so heavy, and greasy, and just makes my scalp SO itchy. These did it as well of course. I would never repurchase these. I got them for free from Home Tester Club, and not only did I have to wait like 8 weeks for it to come, they only sent foil samples.

Seraphine Botanicals - Carrot + Rose - Hydrating Cream
This stuff smells wonderful! Kind of citrusy - orange and grapefruity. It's vegan, gmo-free, gluten-free, and smells great. It is hydrating without being too heavy or sticky. I enjoyed this! I would repurchase if it was an affordable price. But I've got a ton of body lotions to get through still.

Gucci - Gucci Premiere (Perfume Sample)
Taken from Sephora's website:
The fragrance opens with the luxury and exuberance of a vintage champagne. A burst of effervescent bergamot fused with feminine and celebratory orange blossom conveys the heady excitement of the red carpet entrance. At the scent's core nestle, the brilliant white flowers of an intense bouquet, laced with a magnetically sensual modern musk. The timeless allure of the leading lady, the perfect balance of power and sensuality, inspires a collective captured breath. The fragrance's warm and indulgent foundation rests in a beguiling cocktail of subtly smoky leather and creamy balsamic woods that epitomizes absolute glamour.

Bergamot, Orange Blossom, White Flower, Musk, Leather, Wood.
Beautiful. Powerful. Sensual.

I actually enjoyed this sample, and it was used up pretty quickly. My Mom brought it from the US when she was visiting. I'd consider repurchasing but it is VERY expensive, and I honestly have about 20 perfumes, so this definitely isn't needed. But something to keep in mind once I run out (who knows when that will be lol) and can afford $100 perfume.

Solo Care Aqua - Contact Lens Solution
I'm sure this was just in my May empties post as well. This is our go to multi-purpose lens solution cleanser. It doesn't dry out my eyes or make them feel sensitive either. This is my #1 favourite, but I really enjoy the Bausch and Lomb Sensitive Eyes solution as well. We will switch between the two depending what is on sale and what the store has in stock.

Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation - Face Creme
This had a whipped texture which was very shimmery looking, but that shimmer did not transfer on your hands or face. This had a nice consistency, but it was not hydrating enough for my dry skin.

Boscia - Sake Treatment Water
This says it will hydrate and brighten the skin. I used this after toning. It felt great on my skin, and really did provide some hydration, but I didn't noticed my skin getting brighter. I liked this, and the sample lasted about 2 months with being used once a day. I would use it again if it came as a sample, but I don't think I would spend the money and buy this. Like I said, it did hydrate my skin, but I'm not sure if it would be worth spending full price on.

Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer Water
I bought the smaller version of the two that Sephora carries just to get free shipping on something. I'm not a fan of silicone primers, and that seems to be all I have in my stash. I love how this feels on my skin. It's soothing and can be used as a primer or once you are finished your makeup. I will say I hate the nozzle on this. There is no groove in it for your finger. I liked it enough to buy a full size recently, but I'm not sure if I will repurchase it once it is done. It's a nice pick me up for the face in the summer, but I don't find that it primes my skin as nicely as one of the silicone primers would. Even though I hate the feeling of them!

Sephora - Triple Action Cleansing Water
I had never tried a micellar water when I first bought this, so it was really my first time using one and I didn't know what to expect. This smells like sunlight dish soap. It wasn't oily, but did leave a bit of a sticky feeling to my skin after using it. Now that I've tried other micellar waters, this one just doesn't do it for me. It did remove eye makeup decently, but I wouldn't repurchase this.

Nivea - Aqua Effect - Gentle Toner for Dry to Sensitive Skin
I've had this longer than I would like to admit. Maybe 2 or 3 years. It was just a basic toner, didn't really do anything spectacular for my skin, which is why I would use it and push it aside, use it and push it aside. It is gentle, but I didn't find it hydrating. It does say it smooths skin, which I guess it does. If this was on sale then I would maybe repurchase it, but I really prefer my Ceramide Toner from The Face Shop.

Laneige - Water Bank Serum
I've hear a lot about this K-Beauty brand online and was excited to try it when I saw Sephora had it as a free sample. It was pretty watery, and there wasn't enough in here to make a solid decision on if it did something for my skin. I don't think it was as hydrating as I would like a serum to be though.

Sephora - Instant Depuffing Roll-On Eye Gel
This is another item I've had for quite some time, and I'm kind of grossed out at how long I've had it. This is another one of those items where I felt it did nothing for me, but couldn't justify throwing it out. I pulled it out recently and the product was kind of clumpy. So I decided to toss this. I wouldn't repurchase it.

Naobay - Natural and Organic - HydraPlus Cream
This was more of a liquidy lotion. I'm a fan of more rich creams. I did use this on and off as a day cream under makeup. It wasn't really hydrating. And the sample was only half full. I think I got it from Birchbox. Anyway, wasn't a huge fan. If I applied too much then it would ball off. I had to add a face oil a few times because it just wasn't enough for my dry skin. I wouldn't repurchase.
