March Empties!

Another month has come and gone. Seriously, 2016 seems to be flying by at this pace! I can't believe it's already April! I got through a good amount of products for March, which has surprised me. So far this year has been pretty good for empties for me.

There's a good mix of products in there, so let's take a closer look at everything!

Lush Cosmetics - Bar Humbug Bubble Bar
This isn't new for me. I ended up stocking up on a bunch during the BOGO event that Lush had after Christmas. I love the scent of it, and I can get quite a few uses out of one of the bars. I still have a couple in my drawer, but I think I would repurchase it again if it were to come back next year!

Nova Scotia Fisherman - Sea Salt Soap
I actually got this in my February Top Box and I was iffy about using it. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent, and I wasn't sure if I was going to pass it on or keep it. I ended up putting it in the washroom and nobody else touched it lol. Then one day I needed soap, so I opened it up, and I was very surprised. The scent wasn't as strong as it smells while it is dry, and it actually felt really nice on the skin. Bar soaps usually dry my out like no other, but this one didn't do that. I like it, but I wouldn't purchase it just because I'm not a fan of bar soaps.

Layers by Scentsy - Hand Soap in Luna
I LOVE LUNA! If you are a Scentsy fan, then you need everything Luna. It's just a great scent. It can be described as "White florals — jasmine, sweet pea, and freesia — juicy berries, and sandalwood shimmer like moonlight." Generally I'm not a fan of florals, but this isn't very floraly, and it's just light and beautiful. That being said, this style of hand soap has been discontinued, but a larger size has been made available. I have a few more put away, but I will definitely be repurchasing them in the future.

Layers by Scentsy - Bath Tablets in Luna
See, another Luna! Haha. I actually purchased these in July 2015, so they have been lingering around. These are actually discontinued from Scentsy and have been for awhile. I wasn't a fan of the bath tablets because they didn't really fizz, and the scent was so light, I didn't find it stayed on my skin after a bath. Overall, I wasn't a fan of these and I wouldn't repurchase them if they were to ever become available again. I'm not sure if the poor quality was because they were old or because they just weren't a great product.

Bausch and Lomb - Sensitive Eyes Multi-Purpose Solution
This is just a good contact lens multi-purpose solution. It doesn't dry out my eyes, and does a good job at keeping the lenses clean. I prefer another brand but this is a great back up for when I can't find my favourite brand on sale. I do find I have somewhat sensitive eyes and this doesn't burn or irritate my eyes at all. I have a new bottle out now, and will repurchase in the future.

Layers by Scentsy - Body Wash in Coconut Lemongrass
I'm sure you've seen previous empties posts with Scentsy Body Wash. I really like the formula, it lathers well, has a great scent. They were a little pricey when they were available, but with a qualifying party could be half priced, which is how I ended up with so many. I have quite a few to get through, but I do like them. This scent wasn't my favourite, but it was very clean smelling.

More Scentsy Bars...
I've made it a mission to go through my Scentsy stash every month and pick out Scents that I'm not a huge fan of, or are old, or just want to use up. And these got finished up.

Simply Nashi Pear - "Like sinking your teeth into a perfectly ripe Nashi pear, this fragrance bar from Scentsy is light, sweet and juicy as it melts in your warmer."

This was a nice juicy pear scent. I liked it, but it was getting old, and it's no longer available. I probably wouldn't repurchase it just because there are others I like more.

Bonfire Beach - "Toasted marshmallow smoldering over white flint and sandalwood harmonize with salty sea air and ocean spray."
I wasn't a huge fan of this one at first, but it really grew on me as I continued to use it up and finish it. It has a bonfire-y scent, which isn't overpowering, but it is a little sweet as well. It's so hard to describe, but I liked the Scent. I may repurchase it in the future.

Bubblegum - "The true scent of baseball-card bubblegum- sugar and cotton candy with a hint of mint"
When I first got this, I loved it. But as time went on, I wasn't a huge fan of it anymore. It's very minty, you can barely smell the "bubble gum" part of it. This isn't available any more but does come back quite often during BBMB events. I wouldn't repurchase it, but it is a huge favourite among Scentsy lovers.

Nivea Creme
This is probably the most affordable creme moisturizer out there. It's nice and thick. It is a little greasy, so if you don't like greasy moisturizers, you wouldn't like this. Honestly, I use it on my face sometimes, especially when I'm feeling really dry. It's great all over. It doesn't give me break outs and it does wear great under makeup. I did have a little bit of this left, but it was getting old, and started to separate. They are super affordable though so once I get through some of my skincare stash, I will probably repurchase this.

Balance Me - Congested Skin Serum
This serum made it in to my January Favourites post. I actually received it in my December BirchBox and it lasted me up until now. That's pretty impressive considering I was usually using it all over my face and not just on targeted areas. I find it helps a little with breakouts, and I even used my Birchbox points and redeemed for a full size. It's not the greatest spot treatment, but it doesn't cause more breakouts or dry areas on my face. I like it but I probably wouldn't repurchase this just because it's very pricey, and the full size is tiny.

BeeKind - Body Lotion with Honey and Organic Camomile Extracts
This is from a past Birchbox as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent, and it was a very liquidy lotion. It wasn't the greatest body lotion but it did the job. It was a nice sized sample and I got a few months out of it. I wouldn't repurchase it though just because I have other favourite body lotions.

Sensodyne - Repair and Protect - Extra Fresh Toothpaste
I don't usually count toothpaste as an empty, but since this is a more expensive toothpaste, I decided to include it. This version of Sensodyne has an ingredient included in it called novamin. This is supposed to repair cavities or sensitive spots on your teeth, and protect them from future wear. I found that this ended up causing my teeth to feel more sensitive! Also, I'm not sure how well it "repaired and protected" just because I haven't been to the dentist yet. I purchased a second tube, and I haven't used it yet, but we'll see if it makes my teeth just as sensitive again. I really hope not!

St. Ives - Sensitive Skin - Apricot Scrub in Gentle
Everyone has tried the St. Ives Apricot Scrub at some point in their lives. I liked the original scrub, but I found it could be somewhat harsh. I ended up purchasing the gentle version, many moons ago. I had been using it on and off, but the scrub was just not scrubby enough. I didn't feel like I got good exfoliation from it, and since it was old, it was starting to get goopy. I ended up tossing it because it's old, and I just didn't like it anymore. I wouldn't repurchase just because I have seemed to acquire a few more scrubs and they will just take forever to get through. And I didn't find this one exfoliating enough.

Paris Hilton - Eau de Parfum Spray
This was the original perfume that Paris Hilton released back in 2005. I found this description online: "top notes voluptuous and seductive with apple, orange and melon. The heart is opulent, floral, sweet and pure, created of jasmine, freesia, lily, tuberose, mimose and lily of the valley. The base leaves a sweet tone of ylang-ylang, milky-powdery and intensive sandalwood, musk and oakmoss"

Honestly, not one of my top favourite perfumes. But I've had it for so long, and I never really seem to finish perfume. This is a huge accomplishment for me haha. I probably have about 20 perfumes, and I use them on and off, but I haven't finished one in years. This started to have an alcohol scent to it, but there was so little left that I wanted to finish it off. I wouldn't repurchase it, and I'm so happy I've finally finished one in a really long time!

Benefit Cosmetics - Boiing Concealer in 01 (Light)
This used to be my holy grail concealer. And honestly, I finished this one up a quite a few months ago, maybe even sometime at the end of 2015, but I kept the packaging around so I could use the squeezy tubes of concealer. It made them a little easier to use. However, I decided it should probably toss it because it's getting old. Anyway, I liked boiing for a really long time, and I found out of all of the Benefit Cosmetics concealers, it gave me the best coverage. I have another full size put away, but I've been using a bunch of other ones. I want to finish one of those up before I pull this one back out. I'm not sure if I would repurchase another in the future, just because I'm really loving Nars Creamy Concealer!

MAC Cosmetics - Select Sheet/Loose Powder in NC15
I purchased this a few years ago off of eBay before I really knew what I was looking for. Honestly, I'm not even 100% sure this is a real MAC product. However, what I do know.. is that this isn't my shade, it's a little too dark and too yellow, and I just didn't like the coverage. I used it quite a bit, but then stopped and it's just been sitting around. I decided to toss it because it's at least 4 years old, and it just isn't my colour. Theres no sense holding onto it. If this were the legit product, I wouldn't repurchase this.

Cynthia Rowley - Liquid Eyeliner in Cobalt Blue
I received this in either an Ipsy box or Birchbox. I wasn't a huge fan of it because it was blue but decided to try it out anyway. I think I've used it about 4 times, but I just don't like it. It's too watery, and the colour just does not work for me at all. I wouldn't repurchase this in the future. I really love my Jesse's Girl Liquid Liner.

Younique - Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Perfect (black)
I liked the tip of this liquid eyeliner, but it was just so DRY. I'd have to try and go over the spot and it would just rip the liner off, making it look so uneven. I couldn't get it to work the way I liked, and to be 100% honest, it dried out so quickly. I probably got to try it about 4-5 times and that's it. I'm not a fan, and again, I really prefer the Jesse's Girl liquid eyeliner. Plus, the JG is much cheaper.

Pop Beauty - Plumping Lip Gloss in Peony Petal
I love the colour of this gloss, and that's about as far as the love goes. Ipsy sent out sample sizes of this plumping gloss, probably over a year ago, and it smelled so bad. After sending Ipsy an email, they decided to make things right, and Pop Beauty actually sent out the full size versions to those that complained. That's where this came in. This stuff BURNS your lips SO BAD! It hurts. It honestly feels as if all the moisture is being pulled out of your lips by fire. I thought people were exaggerating, but it does hurt. I would never repurchase this. Again, this was never finished, I think I used it a few times, and it just hurt. It's old, and time to go.
So I was terrible using up my masks in March, and my skin is paying for it! Towards the end of the month I started to develop some dry skin patches. Let's just April has already started off with more masks then the whole month of March!

B-Liv - Ultimate Aqua Surge - Leach Me
This is a great mask if you need some added moisture. I saw a noticeable difference right away when I used this. My skin always feels great after using one!

Skin Food - Gold Caviar Nutrition Mask Sheet
This is supposed to have gold flakes, and tighten your skin. Neither of which I noticed. It felt nice while it was on, and it was one of the thinner masks I've used, but I wouldn't repurchase it.

TheFaceShop - Vitamin C Hydro Gel Mask Sheet
These come in 2 pieces, and are hydro gel. I'm not a huge fan of the texture, and I didn't see an improvement in my skin after using this. I think I will stick with my usual sheet masks from TheFaceShop - rice, and cucumber are my favourite!
