Macee Leigh - Pumpkin Masque [Review]

I've been on a little bit of a mask high. I love washing my face, then applying a mask, and just relaxing for a few minutes, letting it do its thing. I switch between clay masks, sheet masks, and now this pumpkin masque.

I've heard great things about this on my Facebook, so I was super excited to give it a try.

This is the description from the Macee Leigh website

"This pumpkin masque is the perfect way to reveal a glowing, silky smooth complexion.
Pumpkin is naturally rich with Vitamins A and C that help in the production of collagen to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Its natural production of zinc aids in the decrease of acne-causing hormones and regulate your skin’s feel by keeping its texture balanced. Combined with the smoothing effect of Alpha hydroxy Acids, and loads of pure essential oils, it's just the right balance for fantastic skin rejuvenation."

Let me first off say, this smells DELICIOUS. It honestly smells like pumpkin pie filling, with the spices, and the creamy scent. Honestly, it smells like something you can eat.

The instructions say to apply it as a thin layer to cleansed skin, avoiding the eye area. Rinse off after five minutes. Light tingling will occur.

I did exactly that. I washed my face, and while it was still damp, I applied this all over my face and left it on for 5 minutes. It did slightly tingle, but nothing exaggerated. It felt nice and cooling. It does go on pretty lightly. It rinses off easily too.

I've used it about 3-4 times now, and I can't say that I have noticed a HUGE improvement in my skin. I have noticed after rinsing it off, my skin doesn't look so red or irritated as it may with other cleansers or masks. I feel like I may have to use this a little more frequently to see the full benefits as the product description says.

Would I repurchase this? Possibly - if I could get it discounted. It sells for $19 US and I feel it could be half of that price and I would be happy paying that. It's only 3oz so it isn't a lot. But I guess if you don't use it many times a week then it would last long. My only concern is how long is it good for? There doesn't seem to be an expiry date and it's made with pumpkin. BUT I love the smell, and my skin feels smooth, so I will try using it more each week and see if it makes more of a difference in my skins appearance!

*I purchased this with my own money. All opinions are of my own*

  1. MMMM.... i love the idea of a pumpkin mask!! Sounds interesting!! $19 is a little pricey, but might be worth it if it works good!
