Garnier - Ultra Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Night Cream - Review

I have to say that I never really go out actively searching for anti-wrinkle, or anti-aging products. I just turned 28 this month, so I probably should start using these products soon, but I don't seem to have much use for them yet.

A while back I purchased Garnier Cleansing Oil. The bottle was no good, and product leaked everywhere. So I emailed Garnier to complain. They ended up sending me a voucher for any product free of charge. Originally I was just going to pick up another bottle of the cleansing oil (I liked it) but I really needed a moisturizer since I've been having a hard time with finding a good one. Anyway, I ended up choosing this Anti-Wrinkle Firming Night Cream.

I've been playing around with this moisturizer on and off, and I've decided I don't like it. I mean, I shouldn't complain too much because it was free, but it's just not a good product.

When I first applied it, I would rub it into my skin. This worked maybe the first time I used it, but as I continued using it, the formula would be sticky, it would look like patches of my skin came loose and was just sticking on my face, and it just stopped absorbing. I would wash my face before, sometimes even exfoliating and it didn't make a difference.

I ended up reading online that some products need to be patted into the skin. You take some product, smoosh it around on your palms, then pat the cream on your face. Again, this worked a few times, and then the cream would do the same thing. It would be sticky.

I enjoyed the thicker consistency of the cream, but I don't like what it does on my skin. I would have been even more bummed if I spent money on this.

I won't repurchase this, in fact I don't think I will even finish this jar because it's just not good. I just find I have a really hard time finding a "drug store" moisturizer, and this reinforces it even more.
