Empties - June 2019

As I always start these posts, I have to say they are my most favourite to read and write about. With such a large collection of make-up and skincare, we don't always finish what we start or put things to the side to try the newest item out there. Empties let me show what I actually used up and lets me share what I actually think, because sometimes our opinions change when the products get "older" or seasons change. This is what I used up for June 2019.

Let's just get right into it!

Bath and Body Works - 2 in 1 Hair and Body Wash in Bourbon
This was mostly used by my boyfriend, but I have used bath and body works body wash a lot and really enjoy them. He liked the scent and the lather. I'd repurchase this scent for him, but we have a ton of others to use up. We both like bath and body works body wash and I have a ton of back ups.

Scentsy - Sea Salt and Avocado Body Wash
Scentsy body washes are nice. They lather really well also, but I find they run out very quickly. This scent was clean. I liked it. I have a few others to use up, but they are good to repurchase when I'm looking to stay active with selling Scentsy.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soap in Blueberry Crumble and Strawberry Vanilla Sugar
I love bath and body works foaming hand soaps. In fact they are pretty much in every single one of my empties posts. I have a ton of backups so I won't need to repurchase any time soon. I will say the blueberry crumble had a weird scent. It was blueberry but then artificial butter maybe? It seemed butter scented but also kind of like plastic. I've never really come across any scents that I have purchased that I didn't like, but I finally have. So I wouldn't repurchase blueberry crumble. Strawberry Vanilla Sugar smelled amazing and I couldn't get enough. If I see it in the future, I will definitely repurchase it, but as of right now, I definitely don't need to purchase any more hand soap.

CosRx - Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
I've been purchasing gel cleansers lately because I find them to be so gentle on the skin. My face doesn't feel tight or dry after using this. I use it as a second cleanse and it's just so nice and gentle. I will probably repurchase in the future, but I have a few other cleansers to get through first.

Summer Fridays - Jet Lag Mask
You can see my review on this here. You definitely don't need a lot when you are using it, and it's super thick. But it just did nothing for my skin. When I was using it a few months back, it played well with my other skincare, but as I got closer to the end of the tube, it balled up with anything I paired with it. I never tried it as a wipe-away mask, because I feel like it costs too much to do that, so I would use it as an over night mask, but I never noticed any difference in my skin, especially since I stopped using it. Which means it didn't do much for me anyway. I wouldn't repurchase.

Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair Serum
I've used these little sample sizes in the past, and my opinion hasn't really changed about it. It feels nice on the skin, but I never really notice any improvements in my skin, so I wouldn't repurchase them based on that.

Sk-II - Facial Treatment Essence
Another item that felt nice, but I don't know if it has much of a purpose. It reminds me a lot of a toner. It felt nice, but it also felt like an unnecessary step. This is also super expensive so I wouldn't repurchase.

TheFaceShop - Rice Ceramide Moisturizing Emulsion
I actually enjoyed this emulsion, and I have used it quite a few times over the past few years. Looking back, I even made a post about how much I loved it back in 2015! I would love to repurchase it, but one of the sales reps told me back in 2017 that it was being discontinued. Silly me didn't buy any back ups. But maybe I can find something similar or on ebay/amazon. I really enjoyed this!

Bioderma - Makeup Removing Micelle Solution
As always, this is just micellar water. I don't use it in place of cleansers, or makeup wipes. I pretty much use it after my double cleanse just to be sure I got all my make up off. I like this brand, I've repurchased full size bottles when they were on sale around Christmas and yeah. That's really it haha.

Shiseido - Facial Cotton
I love this facial cotton. It's so soft and I feel like it doesn't absorb as much of your product like the cotton rounds. This is about $11 Canadian, so not cheap by any means. But I like to cut the squares in half so I get a little more use out of them. I won't use them on anything else besides my toners or else it kind of feels like a waste of them, so they last me awhile by using them that way. I've already repurchased a new pack during the VIB sale in the spring.

Nars - Climax Mascara
This mascara wand was nice. I liked how thick it was so it made my lashes look fanned out. I wasn't a huge fan of the formula, and I found that it dried out fairly quickly. I'm not sure if it's just because it's a sample size or what. I've already found mascaras that I prefer more, so I wouldn't repurchase this.

Clinique - High Impact Mascara
I've used this in the past, but it's just an average mascara. I found when I opened this sample, it made my lashes always feel so hard, and the formula was kind of shiny when it dried down? Like it's hard to describe. But every time I wore it, I could tell that it was different. So hard to describe. I wouldn't repurchase this.

Kevyn Aucoin - The Curling Mascara
I received this in my Lucky Bag 2019 - and I have to say I was highly disappointed. The brush is not very thick, so it makes your lashes look quite thin. The formula is also more on the watery side, so it looks like you've barely done anything with your lashes. I didn't find that it held a curl either. I wouldn't repurchase.

Essie - Gel Couture Top Coat
I absolutely love this top coat. I can use it with any type of polish, and it just makes it last! Sometimes I can get 2 weeks out of a polish with using this top coat. It's amazing. I've already repurchased a back up and I will continue to buy it! I loved it!

Wella - Oil Reflections Shampoo and Conditioner
This duo was gentle on my hair, it didn't feel like it stripped my hair, or weigh it down. I believe I got it in an old Topbox and I just decided to use it now. I liked them, but I don't think I would repurchase them.

In total, I used up 17 items for the month. Not bad! I'd really love to hit 30-31 products for the end of July! (So far, I'm not doing that good haha)
