Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation

I'm always on the hunt for a good foundation! Some days I want full coverage, and other days I prefer a more subtle, natural look. When I saw this foundation pop up on the new section of Sephora's website, I knew I had to give it a try... especially at this time of the year. It's so cold, and my skin is so dry.

Kosas - Tinted Face Oil
A featherweight, light-coverage foundation and hydrating skin elixir in 10 shades that can be worn across 30 skin tones.

With application that takes as little as 10 seconds, imperceptible all-day wear, and true nourishment, Tinted Face Oil Foundation is the new definition of the flawless face. As easily applied as a daily moisturizer, the breathable, silky-clean formula instantly evens the look of skin tone, minimizes pores, and erases the look of imperfections, while supporting the health of the skin underneath. Just shake well and apply for a nurturing, flawless finish.

I ordered this in Tone 1. Which is the lightest shade they sell. It's supposed to be porcelain with pink undertones.. but it's pretty yellow on my skin. As you can see in the picture above, it's pretty much a tinted oil.

This is when I first applied in the morning. It goes on very smooth, and you can see once it has been spread out, the yellow tone goes away. I do have to set with a powder or else I feel like I look super greasy.

This is the end of the day. As you can see, it has stayed pretty well.. but it did break up on my nose. I don't know if that's because of the foundation itself, or because it's winter and I feel like I'm constantly wiping/blowing my nose. I do try to use a pore-filling primer on my nose, so maybe it has to do with that.

I find it wears great through the day. You do have to be careful not to over powder areas of your face, or also be gentle with oil-blotting papers. This does come off with the paper, and it will break up with heavy powder.

Overall, I do enjoy how lightweight this foundation is. It doesn't emphasize dry spots like other foundations do on my skin right now, and it looks pretty natural. The only downside I would say is how easily it breaks up. And I do wish the tone was slightly more "porcelain". Also, you have to be careful travelling with this foundation. It is VERY liquidy, and I can see it making a mess in a makeup bag if not properly sealed.

I would definitely repurchase this once I run out!
