Empties - August, September, October 2018

I know I have been missing on here for awhile. I have to say, it's hard working full time and commuting. The thought of being on a computer after being on one all day, is kind of dreadful if I must be honest. Don't get me wrong, I love my blog, I miss blogging so often and having a set routine, but it's just so hard for me now. I'm going to try and improve this. Anyway, if you've been following my blog for awhile, then you would know that empties are my favourite kind of post. I love reading or watching other's empties posts, and writing my own. So without going on much longer, let's see what I used up for the months of August, September, and October 2018.

Make Up For Ever - Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y205 [Glamsense Campaign]

If you're a beauty enthusiast, then you've definitely heard of Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation. It's been a cult favourite for years, and I finally had the opportunity to give it a try!

Nude Skincare - Advanced Renewal Moisturizer

If you've been with me for awhile, then you know I'm always on the hunt for a good moisturizer. I tend to like creams more than lotions, and I have dry skin. I'd also like something that works well under makeup, and I don't think that's asking too much! I used to have a holy grail moisturizer made by Shiseido, but it's been discontinued for a long time. My hunt still continues. I found this Nude Skincare - Advanced Renewal Moisturizer in the sale section of Sephora's website, and I decided I wanted to give it a go!

Schwarzkopf Professional - BlondeMe Bonding Hair Care - Glam Sense Campaign

If you have been following my blog for a few months, then you would have seen that I decided to add blonde to my hair. It started off with balayage in December, and then in May I went back and got it touched up. I still wasn't completely happy with it, because it was pulling orange, and I just wanted more blonde added in. In July I decided to try out Marca College (local school for estheticians) and I added a ton more highlights, and wanted to go cooler in the tone. This Glam Sense campaign could not have came at a better time!

Blogger Box: M Squared Brands Summer Edition

Every so often, we bloggers are sent products to review from different companies. I was lucky enough to be accepted by M Squared Brands. They send out seasonal blogger boxes, with their main focus being on natural and organic products, available to Canadians. This box is the Summer edition and I have some amazing products to share with you!

Boxycharm - January 2018

Boxycharm is a subscription box service, that sends full size and deluxe sample size items to you each month. I've noticed majority of the time, you will get full sized products, and you receive 5 each month. It is $21 USD a month, plus shipping. There are discounts if you sign up for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. I originally signed up for 3 months, and it renewed for another 3 months automatically. Everyone generally gets the same box each month, with a few variations such as lipstick colours. Or a lipstick vs lip gloss. That being said, let's take a look at what I received for my January Boxycharm!

Topbox - January 2018

Topbox is probably the most affordable subscription service that I have ever subscribed to. It's only $12 a month, which means in Ontario it only comes to $13.56 after taxes. Super affordable. Especially for those who aren't looking to spend too much, while getting to try new brands. They usually only send sample sized products, and a lot of skincare. There generally isn't a theme of the month either, but it's always a great surprise.

Each month we are able to pick a prive box, or a regular box. Usually I will post the prive choices we were given, but I've decided to stop taking screenshots of our options. A lot of them were getting repeated through the months. I decided to choose a regular box for January, and this is what I received.

Empties - February/March 2018

I usually post these monthly, but I felt at the end of February that I really hadn't used up enough products to make a post about them. So here we are in March, and these are my empties that I have accumulated through February up until now!

Empties - January 2018

Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of January. Well, February now. Did anyone else feel like January went by really slowly!? It felt like it took forever to end! Anyway, I'm glad we're getting closer to spring, I can't wait for winter to finally be over. Here's a look at my empties for the month of January!

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat (3 mini sized bottles - 3.6mL each)
Seche Vite dry fast top coat is widely acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Specially formulated to penetrate through nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish. Guaranteed not to yellow while leaving nails silky, stronger, and resistant to chipping and peeling. A full size is 14mL and retails for $9.95 at professional nail salons.

I've heard great things about Seche Vite so I couldn't wait to give this a try. When I saw it as a prive, I decided to choose it because I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I have to say, I'm kind of disappointed in this top coat! I've given it quite a few tries and it just didn't live up to my expectations. It does dry fast, but it makes your polish shrink, and it definitely didn't prevent my nails from chipping or peeling. I noticed it actually chipped and peeled my polish very quickly. Like a day or two into a fresh painting. With my Essie or essence gel polishes, I get a good week of wear without any chips or peeling. And it's not like I do anything crazy with my nails either. We use a dishwasher now, and I have an office job.. so it's not like they should be getting ruined so quickly!

Empties - December 2017

Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of December. The end of 2017! This year feels like it went by so quickly. And we're already entering 2018. I'm hoping this year I can blog more, because when I started my new job I began to slack off a little, and I hate that I feel like I'm neglecting this! Anyway, let's round up the trash for one last empties, of 2017!

Indulgently Pampered Skin Starts With Palmer's Coconut Oil!

We're now smack dab in the middle of winter, and my dry skin is crying out for more moisture and hydration. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who is having this issue! As soon as I get out of the shower, I make sure to apply a body lotion or body butter. I sometimes even use an oil in place of those, depending on my mood. When I was contacted to try out three new body products from Palmer's, I knew I had to give them a try.
