Boxycharm - July 2017

Boxycharm is a subscription box service, that sends full size and deluxe sample size items to you each month. I've noticed majority of the time, you will get full sized products, and you receive 5 each month. It is $21 USD a month, plus shipping. There are discounts if you sign up for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. I originally signed up for 3 months, and it renewed for another 3 months automatically. Everyone generally gets the same box each month, with a few variations such as lipstick colours. Or a lipstick vs lip gloss. That being said, let's take a look at what I received for my July Boxycharm!

As the product card shows, the theme of the month is Cutie Pie.

A good selection of products again this month!

Blinc - Electric Eyes Palette (Retail Value - $45.00)
This palette features a combination of 5 highly-pigmented, jewel toned eye shadows. The shades beautifully pair together to give you a gorgeous, golden eye look. This formula blends effortlessly, and is long-lasting.

These swatch so beautifully! They are definitely pigmented, and all have a shimmer base. I haven't played around with them on my eyes yet, but I can definitely come up with some looks and do a separate review/look on these!

BareMinerals - Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo (Retail Value - $32.00)
This silky and ultra-fine combination of setting powder and finishing powder instantly vanishes on all skin tones. Enjoy an even, long-lasting, natural looking, luminous complexion.

I've been toying with the idea of trying an Hourglass ambient powder, which looks like the glow version in this duo. I've never tried it though, so I can't compare. The translucent powder sinks into the skin, so you can't even tell you're wearing it. The glow side has the faintest glow to it, it's beautiful! I can't wait to wear this more.

Colourpop - Ultra Satin Lip in Lock Diary (Retail Value - $6.00)
This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving SUPER intense pigment with a bold, ultra-matte look. It is very long-lasting and 100% kiss-proof, AKA no transferring!

The description on the card is for the matte lip, but this is a satin lip product... so it doesn't set as well as the matte lips do. I already own this colour, and you can see what it looks like on my lips, and swatches, here. I didn't want to open this one in case I can pass it along.

Project Beauty - Spray. Set. Go. - Makeup Setting Spray (Retail Value - $32.00)
Keep your makeup fresh all day long. Just spray, set & go! You've got this, gorgeous!

I liked this spray, however there's no way this is worth $32! Also, the sprayer on this really sucks. You either have to spray it very far away from your face, so you just get the mist... or prepare for splotches of spray to go all over your face. I'm going to empty this into another spray once I finish another. It does work well though.

WinkyLux - Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Retail Value - $12.00)
One brow pencil to rule them all! Simplify your brow game with this 2-step pencil. Its firm texutre gives maximum control so anyone can be a brow boss.

I was afraid this universal shade wouldn't work for me, but it actually does. It's a little firm to use, but I'm sure over time I will get used to it, or it will soften up. There's also a spoolie at the other end, which makes it even easier to do your brows.

This box has an overall retail value of $127.00, which is quite a lot! I feel like I will get use out of everything except the Colourpop liquid lipstick, which also has the lowest value in the box. Everything works well with one another, and I'm happy with it! If you're interested in signing up for Boxycharm, you can use my referral link here.
