Boxycharm - April 2017

Boxycharm is a subscription box service, that sends full size and deluxe sample size items to you each month. I've noticed majority of the time, you will get full sized products, and you receive 5 each month. It is $21 USD a month, plus shipping. There are discounts if you sign up for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. I originally signed up for 3 months, and it renewed for another 3 months automatically. Everyone generally gets the same box each month, with a few variations such as lipstick colours. Or a lipstick vs lip gloss. That being said, let's take a look at what I received for my April Boxycharm.

The theme of the moth is Boho Glow. We did get 3 sneak peeks as usual.

As you can see, we received 5 full sized items this month. Let's get a closer look at everything!

Measurable Difference - Concealer Palette (Retail Price: $19.99)
Featuring 16 versatile shades, this makeup set works for any skin tone. The creamy, blendable formula melts perfectly into the skin, making any blemish or skin flaw disappear.

I didn't even bother opening this. I have a hard enough finding one concealer that works for me, never mind 16 shades. I have a friend who is interested in this, so I will pass it on to her.

Ofra Cosmetics - Highlighter in Rodeo Drive (Retail Price: $35.00)
Soak up the summer sun day or night with OFRA's Rodeo Drive Highlighter! This radiant new product captures the luxury and glamour of the famous street in sunny California.

This is pretty, but I find its comparable to Champagne Pop. Since I've barely made a dent in my Champagne Pop highlighter, I've decided to pass this on to a friend as well.

Project Beauty Hairgurt - Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Shampoo in Strawberry Banana (Retail Price: $10.00)
Wondering when your hair got a mind of its own? Try this creamy, rich shampoo with Yogurt, Prebiotics, Quinoa, 6 Botanical Oils and Bio-Keratin to help tame frizzy dry hair. Free of sulfates, parabens, harsh salt systems, harmful colours and harmful fragrances.

I'm interested in trying this! I think Strawberry Banana is a scent not everyone will love, especially in their hair, but I can't wait to give this a try. I'm a little confused though that they didn't include the masque as well, so they could be used as a set.

Pur Cosmetics - Blend Squad - 3 Piece Contour Blending Sponges (Retail Price: $36.00)
Set of three latex-free and non-allergenic blending sponges. Can be used damp or dry. It's washable, reusable and odor-free.

I usually only stick to my beauty blender, but I will definitely give these a try.

Allegory Story - Lip Gloss in Plato's Cave (Retail Price: $15.00)
A creamy, pigmented lip gloss with bold colour and a touch of vanilla scent.

I didn't even bother swatching this either. This is going to the friend who wants the concealer palette. I wish Boxycharm was a little more customizable like Ipsy, because these lip shades they have been sending me, haven't worked at all. First an orange-ish gloss, then the dark dark burgundy, and now brown. It might sound super picky, but these shades don't work for everyone.

Overall, I felt again that this was a meh month for me. I really hope they knock it out of the park in May, because I'm starting to feel as if this is a waste of money. I am generally only liking 1-2 products each month (except for February, that was an awesome box!) and it just seems expensive, and a hassle to have to try and trade, or sell. Hopefully those of you who got one as well, enjoyed it this month!
