Candy.ca Subscription Box - November 2016 Review!

A new subscription box has made its way into the Canadian market. This time, it's a monthly candy box! Who doesn't love candy? I'll get into the full details a little further down into the post, because I know you all want to see what came inside the box first!

Candy.ca is Canada's newest candy subscription. The box is branded with their logo and website, so everyone can see that you ordered some candy! Haha.

I did sneak into the box before I took pictures, so I believe that the product card is supposed to be under the tissue paper! Also included in the box is a little note that says "We hope this brings a smile to your day - Shirleen and Shaun" which I think is a nice, personal touch.

And just another look at the wrapping. As I said above, I opened this before I got to take pictures, so when I reveal the products, they did look a little different when I first opened it!

Lots and lots of candy! Each box contains three or more pounds of candy, and 6-7 different flavours and types of candy.

Also included in the box were some starburst candies. They were distributed throughout the box. Mine were at the bottom in the previous picture, so you couldn't really see them.

Sunkist Orange Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
The refreshing flavour of juicy orange in a chewy, sweet jelly bean! These jelly beans are as true to the fruit as can be and use real orange juice from orange puree. The gourmet jelly bean.

These weren't nearly as juicy, or orange flavoured as I thought they would be. Still very tasty though.

Allan Mini Sour Cherry Slices
These are the perfect way to enjoy a burst of sweet cherry flavour. Each is packed with tangy sweet and sour cherry flavour, then dusted with sweet sugar for a unique cherry candy experience.

These taste exactly like cherry blasters, if anyone knows what those are. Slightly sour at first, and then sweet. One of my favourite candies in this box!

Vidal Watermelon Slices
From Spain, these bright watermelon slices are sanded with sugar, with the scrumptious flavour of watermelon. Your mouth will be watering at the thought of this delicious Spanish candy.

These are so good! They have a marshmallow-y type of chew to them, not like your typical gummy candy. They have a nice watermelon flavour, and aren't overly sweet. Really enjoyed this one!

Allan Sour Grape Slices
Sour Grape Slices are a sweet treat with a fruity grape flavour sprinkled with a sugar coating. These yummy candy grape slices taste just like grapes, but with a sour punch!

These have a slight sour taste at first, but quickly changes to sweet. These are really good, and I have tried them previously in the past, so I was happy to see them. Artificial grape flavour though, so if you don't like that, you wouldn't like these.

Warheads Sour Chewy Cubes
Warheads Sour Chewy Cubes are a tangy treat, with just the right amount of sour and sweet. These soft cubes pack a delightfully sour punch with a rainbow of tarty, tasty flavours!

These are also yummy. Probably the most sour at first, but again turns into a sweet gummy treat. Out of the different colours, the blue raspberry were my favourite!

Albanese Chocolate Mini Pretzels
Crispy milk chocolate mini pretzels are crunchy, salty, and sweet. Each bite-sized pretzel twist is dipped in delectable milk chocolate for a tiny treat with huge chocolate flavour.

I have to say these were probably my most favourite item in the whole box. They are salty, sweet, creamy. Just great. A good combination of salty and sweet without one being more overpowering. Very tasty!

Starburst
Starburst originals are unbelievably juicy. Pop one in your mouth and unleash the awesomeness. You'll be hit with a burst of delicious fruit flavour that will leave you wanting more.

I'm sure most of you have tried starburst before, and know how they taste. These are juicy and fruity, and also yummy. A great addition to this box.

Onto the details..
Candy.ca subscription box is $29.95 per month. There are discounts offered if you sign up for a 3 month, or 6 month subscription. Pricing is in Canadian dollars, and they only ship within Canada at the moment. There is a flat rate charge of $11.99 for shipping, which is done through Canada Post.

Customer service is great, they are easy to get a hold of and will get back to you in a timely matter. You are also sent a survey once you receive your box, to share your thoughts. I thought this was a great way for them to get honest feedback, and everything I mention below, I shared in the survey as well.

Overall I will say that you get a large amount of candy for a month period. I think it would be nice if they introduced a quarterly subscription as well, because it's a lot of candy to receive month after month. I have a sweet tooth, and I think it would be too much for me. Also, I would like to see more of a selection instead of 4 out of 7 candies being sugar coated, sour gummies. I like them, but would have liked to see some hard candies, or non-sugar coated. That being said, I've only received November's box, so past or future boxes may have had more of a variety of candies. I also mentioned in the survey that they should have a smaller box with less products, for a lower price.
