Lancome - Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick SPF 21

The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick (with SPF 21) is 24-hour wear, highly pigmented, foundation stick that provides high coverage in a super-gliding, weightless texture for a matte finish.

I received this from ChickAdvisor about 6 weeks ago, so I have been wearing it pretty much every time I apply makeup. A blog post is not a part of their requirements, but I felt like sharing my experience with this foundation with my readers.

I received the shade 110 Ivoire C - For porcelain skin with cool/pink undertones. This is the lightest shade that is offered. So while this product is marketed as being a multi-purpose foundation stick (contour, conceal, highlight, foundation) I wouldn't be able to ever use it as a contour stick, unless I somehow get a tan (which probably won't be happening anytime soon)

I had never tried a foundation stick previously to trying this one, so it was a new experience for me. I will say I really love that it doesn't get my hands messy at all! Just swipe the foundation stick on my face, and bounce with the beauty blender. It's pretty awesome in that sense. My other foundations at the moment don't have pumps so I have to either put the foundation on the back of my hand, or use my fingers to dab some on my face, which means messy hands.

The packaging itself isn't anything extraordinary. This foundation stick is $50 at Sephora, so I was expecting to see something a little more flashier. However, I haven't had any issues with the packaging.

I generally stick to foundations that are liquids, because I have dry skin. Powder foundations usually look cakey really quickly on me, so I try to avoid them as much as I can, as well as foundations that are matte. This is supposed to be full coverage, lightweight, and turns from a cream to powder. I was a bit skeptical of how it would apply on my skin.

The colour itself I would say is just a tad too dark for me, if there was one even half a point lighter, I think it would be perfect for my skin tone.

To the left is my face with no makeup. Only moisturizer and primer.

On the right, I have applied the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick in 110 Ivoire C.

You can tell that it does cover my redness, and discolouration.

The formula really is cream to powder. It dries matte, and is very easy to apply. I don't ever have any issues when I blend it out with a beauty blender. I will say though because this is the lightest shade, I can't use it as a concealer, so I just use any other concealer under my eyes, and to cover any spots that may not have been covered with the foundation stick. It claims to be full coverage, but I would say its more medium to full, and can be built up. Just be sure to exfoliate your skin either the night before, or just before you use this, because it WILL stick to your dry patches. Which happened to me a few times while testing it out. I can't use any setting powder with this because of major cake face. This is something I have to use on its own.

Over all, I do like the ease of this foundation stick. I like that there is SPF in it as well because I never apply it on its own (shame on me, I know - but it irritates my face!) however I do wish it came in a tad lighter of a shade.. even half a shade, because this does look a little orange on me if it's not blended out properly. I also wish it covered my blemishes a little better without having to use concealer with it as well. If you have more of a normal skin type, I can see this working great. However with dry skin, you HAVE to moisturize well, and I would recommend using a hydrating primer as well. But it does leave the skin looking even!
