Topbox - March 2016

This is my second Topbox! Last month I felt a little iffy about my first box, because I felt as if the value wasn't really there, and I wasn't overly thrilled about the items I was sent. I got a hand cream, a primer, another purlisse face lotion with spf, and a sample of bar soap. This month I feel was much better, at least for myself.

First off, let's take a look at the options they were giving for a prive box.
A prive box is a box that you can "wish" for, and make your selection in the beginning of the month. You aren't always promised that you will be getting that prive box, so it's a surprise when it gets to you.

There were 5 different prive boxes that could be wished for in the month of March. The image is getting shrunken a lot on here, so I will just quickly list off what the options were.

- Tolan Skincare Age Defense Serum (includes 1 30mL bottle of Age Defense Serum)
- Tolan Skincare Age Defence Cream (includes 1 30mL bottle of Age Defense Cream)
- Fragrance Box (includes 10 sample size perfumes of the top fragrances from luxury brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Calvin Klein, etc)
- So Susan (includes 2 products - a plumping lip tint, and a lip & cheek cream)
- Elizabeth Arden (5 skincare sample products - 2 serums, booster, eye gel and perfume sample)

For March I decided to skip the Prive boxes again. I really want to get a feel of what Topbox usually sends out to their customers. Nothing really stuck out to me, I have a ton of serums and creams that need to be used up. I'm not a fan of the colours for the So Susan box,  and I definitely don't need 10 sample size perfumes. I was a little tempted to try the Elizabeth Arden box, but I felt the regular Topbox would be a better surprise, and I might enjoy it more.

Topbox also sent out the organza bag this month for Earth Month (I'm sure I mentioned in my Luxe Box post that Topbox owns LuxeBox which explains why they did the same for both companies) but when I signed up, in my profile I specified I wanted an organza bag in place of the boxes. Mine was green this month!

As you can see in the above photo, I received 4 products. I have a feeling that 4 products are pretty standard for their monthly products. Which is fine with me because the box is affordable ($12 with free shipping!) and I just have so much stuff anyway haha. Here's a more detailed description of what I received.

MaskerAide - All Eyes On Me Hydrating Eye Gel Patches
Prepare under eye area by cleansing and toning your skin. Open packet and remove eye gels from tray and remove protective film from both sides. Apply to under eye area. Both sides of eye gel can be used. Relax for 15-20 minutes. Remove eye gels and discard. Use once per week as a treatment or as needed. 1 box contains 4 pairs of Eye Gels which retails for $25.

I saw that some people got these in their luxeboxes and I was jealous! I've always wanted to try eye gels, and I never have! I still haven't tried these because I don't want to use them up yet lol. We received one package with a pair of eye gels, which is only a single use.

Nova Scotia Fisherman Extreme Skin Care - Fisher-Mint Lip Balm
This bright refreshing Fisher-Mint lip balm is the perfect naturally fresh way to moisturize your dry winter lips. Since all of the ingredients are naturally, you can feel good about using it as many times a day as you would like! 9.9g is $4.95.

I thought this was a full size item that we were sent, but apparently it's not! Who knew! We were sent a 5.2g lip balm. I was going to say I couldn't see myself paying $5 for this lip balm, but you get almost double the size, which is pretty good.  This was the first thing I opened to try, and it really is moisturizing. It's a gray-green shade, and it is minty. The smell kind of reminds me of Fisherman's Friend throat lozenges for those who know what that is. I like this balm!

Benefit Cosmetics - Roller Lash Mascara
It's a roller for lashes! The eye-opening Hook'n'Roll brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls... while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. Gently wiggle the wand from base of lashes to tip. Repeat across your lashline, making sure to catch every lash. Full size (8.5g) retails for $29.

I was pretty excited to see this! I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I've heard great things about roller lash. Hopefully it's better than They're Real! (I didn't like that one) and I will probably try it out once I finish up my Too Faced mascara. I used to be okay with having like 5 mascaras opened at a time, but I've decided I need to stop doing that. Roller lash will be on my next up list.

And last but not least...

TheFaceShop - Seaweeds Moisturizing Pack
Before going to bed, spread evenly over your face, avoiding the eye and lip contour areas. 110mL retails for $12.

Let me first start off saying.. I LOVE TheFaceShop. When I saw this was in my bag, I immediately was like omg yes! I wanted to immediately open it up and try it, but I restrained myself. TheFaceShop has so many great products, and they are so affordable. I'm trying to finish off my TonyMoly Banana Sleep Pack, and then this Seaweeds Moisturizing Pack will be bumped up to the top of my sleep pack list.

So as you can see, I wasn't disappointed in one thing this month! My only complaint is that I wish they sent more of the gel eye patches because I feel 1 isn't enough to determine if you really like it or not. But that's not really their fault because they are just a subscription service, and any other company would also just send out one pack. I really enjoyed this month, and I hope it continues this way!
