August & September Empties!

Wow! I haven't posted anything in awhile. It definitely didn't feel like 20 days ago! Things have been a little hectic with me. I just recently got a new job so I've been doing interviews, orientation, and some training this week. And next week I pick up some shifts. I decided to combine my August empties, with others that I have finished through this month. I know technically September isn't over, but I don't think I will have many other empty products. I know I will definitely have a face cleanser, but I'm not going to hold off posting this for one item. So here we go!

As you can see, I got through quite a bit. At least for myself. I've been trying to use up old products, but sometimes it's hard. That new eyeshadow catches your eye, or you're just bored of using the same old products. I've gotta push through it because I've got a ton of stuff.

Dove - Advanced Hair Series - Oxygen Moisture (for fine flat hair) Shampoo and Conditioner
I'm sure I got these for free in the mail at some point. I don't have fine, or flat hair, so I knew it probably wasn't the best for me. But I decided to try it anyway because it's shampoo and conditioner! Turns out, I wasn't a fan of these. My hair got oily pretty quickly and it gave me an itchy scalp. I would not purchase these.

Tresemme - Heat Tamer Spray
I've had this for a few years now, and I really like it. I use it before I blow dry my hair and again before I straighten my hair. The only reason why it hadn't been used up quicker is because I stopped blow drying my  hair for probably almost 3 years now. I would do it on occasion, but for the most part, I'd just let my hair air dry. I went and got a hair cut last week. I went from hair that was probably under my arm pits, to hair that is now above my shoulders. Now I will have to style it because my hair just looks like a poof ball, I finished this up and will be purchasing a new one shortly. I have some other hair products I need to use up first.

Layers by Scentsy - Hand Soap in Winter Pine
I had a feeling I wasn't going to like this scent, but I got a trio package for a really good price during their Birthday Bash sale in July. This ended up just smelling like men's cologne. I wouldn't repurchase this scent, but I've already repurchased these hand soaps in different scents. I really like them!

Secret Clear Gel - Scent Expressions Cocoa Butter Kiss
I've said time and time again that I'm not a fan of gel deodorants. I got this for free from BzzAgent (they actually sent 2 this size but I only kept one) and it turns out, I like this one. It dries pretty quickly, and I love that it doesn't leave behind any white lines. I have a stock of other deodorants I need to get through (I'm talking like 5 full size sticks) before I can even consider purchasing this full size. But I think I will when it comes time to needing to buy more.

Olay - Sensitive Unscented Body Wash
I'm used to my body wash having a scent. This stuff was creamy, and I could see it working for sensitivities to scents. However, I didn't find it made my skin more nourished. I wouldn't purchase this in a full size because I prefer a more gel type of body wash, opposed to the cream style.

Younique - Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes (Original formulation)
Younique recently relaunched their new 3D Fiber Lashes and I have to say, I really prefer the new set compared to this original formula. The new brush prevents clumps, and it's less sticky and makes less of a mess. I wasn't really a fan of this one to begin with, and as the time went on I realized I've had this since December and only used it a few times, but it was SO clumpy, even before I applied it to my lashes. I wouldn't repurchase the original formula, but I would definitely repurchase the new formula with new wand for the mascara.

Jesse's Girl - Liquid Eyeliner
I've had this for awhile, I actually got it in an Ipsy bag. I used it for awhile, and then put it away because I didn't want to use it all up - haha. I ended up pulling it out after I finished the Elizabeth Mott liner from the previous empties post, and I got some more use out of it. But then either the formula dried out or I used it all up. I've already repurchased 2 more, but I am saving them until I use up some of the horrible pencil liners I need to get rid of.

Quo - Cosmetic Pads
You know those circle cotton pads, thats what these are. I use them all the time for eye make up removal, using them to tone my skin, and to remove nail polish. They're great to have on hand. I've repurchased a Sephora pack just because I needed to qualify for free shipping, but I really prefer this Quo brand. I will repurchase these when it's time to pick some up.

Simple - Cleansing Wipes
I got this sample pack (I think it had 5 wipes) in one of those teen packs that are for back to school. I used to really like them, but I've been through a few brands and they're now not really my favourite. I can't always get my mascara off with them, but they are good in a hurry. I may repurchase them if the price is right. But I think I prefer the Kirkland (Costco) brand the most.

Younique - Shine Eye Makeup Remover Wipes
These can be used on your whole face, or just to remove eye makeup. I've done a review on them before and I really liked them. They contain some oils so if your face is oily, you might not like them. But they take off the most stubborn makeup, and leave your face feeling moisturized. I've already repurchased a new pack. They are a little pricey, so I wish you got more for the price.

Lots of skin care here! But I'm glad I'm using some of this stuff up!

Younique - Divine Daily Moisturizer
I was skeptical to try this because I have a hard time finding a moisturizer that works for my dry skin. Although this hasn't been like my holy grail - discontinued - Shiseido moisturizer - it seems to do what I need it to do. I will usually tone my face in the morning, then apply my moistfull super collagen ampoule essence, and then apply the divine moisturizer. The trick I've found is to let it soak into your skin for about 10 minutes before applying your makeup, or else this moisturizer just BALLS up. And it's a lot. I find some days I do have issues with it balling up on my temples, but that's if I rub the area. I really like how it has no scent, and it doesn't sting my face or give me any issues. I've already repurchased this.

Etude House - Moistfull Super Collagen Ampoule Essence
I LOVE THIS STUFF! Seriously! I think this is what is making my face feel so moisturized and great all of the time. I've been struggling with finding a moisturizer that not only makes my skin NOT look dry, but also makes my skin not FEEL dry. It's been a battle. And I find using this essence before a moisturizer really helps. This little sample lasted probably 2 months, and I've already repurchased a full size bottle. I seriously love this!

Vichy - Idealia Life Serum
I received this for free from Chick Advisor along with a skin sleep moisturizer. I did notice a reduction in the fine lines on my forehead (yes, I do have FAINT lines) but not enough that I would rush out and purchase this. It's an alright serum. If I got it again for free, I wouldn't turn it down.

Sephora Rose Sleeping Mask
I think this cost me $5 on their website. Much more than what I wanted to pay, but again, I needed to add little things to make up the amount to get to free shipping lol. I was surprised how many uses I got out of this little pack. I'd say I got about 6 or 7 uses from it, which is amazing considering it's not very big. The moisturizer inside is like a gel, and has a light scent of rose. I picked this one from all of the masks because rose is supposed to be hydrating. I didn't notice any amazing changes in my skin, but I really liked the extra moisture. I would maybe repurchase this, if I got it for a good price.

Mario Badescu Aloe Lotion and Alpha Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion
I'm grouping these 2 together just because I don't feel like writing about them separately. I got these both for free. They are both used as toners. I felt the Aloe Lotion was better for my skin because it was a little more moisturizing, but I personally wouldn't purchase either one. I prefer TheFaceShop Rice Ceramide Moisture Toner.

Dr. Brandt - Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant
I got this from a past Ipsy bag, so it's been around for awhile. I used it a few times, then lost it, then found it again. It's nice for a good exfoliation. Would I repurchase it? No, just because I'm cheap. If I got it for free, that'd be great haha.

Scentsy Bar - Simply Vanilla
I got this in my starter kit in February. I like vanilla scents but this is a little too light for me. It is simply vanilla!
